  • This is the latest in a series of conferences dedicated to the use of X-ray, electron and optical coherence for phase retrieval and coherent scattering, imaging matter as well as probing structure and dynamics. The conference first took place at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, in May 2001, and is now held every 2 years. It is traditionally held in a waterside location (Palm Cove 2003, Porquerolles 2005, Asilomar 2007, Warnemunde 2010, Fukuoka 2012, Evanston 2014 and Saint Malo 2016) which encourages a relaxed
    interactive experience.

Conference chairs: Ian Robinson, Yong Chu.

Save the date: Conference from June 25 to 28th 2018.

Draft programm is available in the document below. Further information on the conference will follow soon.

  • ICEM18, the eighteenth International Conference of experimental Mechanics organized under the auspices of the European Society for Experimental Mechanics (EuraSEM) in July 1-5, 2018, in Brussels- Belgium, will bring a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the(se) latest exciting developments in the field of experimental mechanics. A unique opportunity to meet and interact with renowned international scientists and experts from academia and industry. It is the aim of the conference to provide a forum for discussion, exchange of new ideas, for the establishment of new friendships and collaborations and for the dissemination of recent acquired knowledge in an area of utmost scientific and technological importance.

Focus on one special session: Thin films and nanostructures: mechanical and associated functional properties

Organizers: Damien Faurie (Université Paris 13 Nord, France) and Megan Cordill (Erich Schmid Institute of Materials Science, Austria).

Deadline for abstract submission: November 30, 2017
