A Postdoctoral researcher (m/f) position is available for “Building a electro‐magneto‐mechanical Finite Element Model (FEM) of composites“ starting Nov. 1st 2016. Position available at Max‐Planck‐Institut für Eisenforschung GmbH in the department “Structure and Nano‐ /Micromechanics of materials” that is focusing on fundamental mechanisms governing plasticity, fracture and fatigue at the micron scale.
The work will focuses on modelling of a composite material which can switch its strength by an external stimulus. The successful candidate will join an internationally recognized team of young scientists involved in the field of micromechanics of materials.
Highly motivated candidates holding a PhD in materials science, mechanics or physics and experience in FEM modelling are encouraged to apply. Excellent command of written and spoken English is mandatory. We emphasize team‐work, promote and demand international projects and conferences.
