• PostDoc position at ISTerre

We currently have a postdoc position available at the geochemistry group of ISTerre (CNRS-Univ.Grenoble-Alpes). The candidate will study the interaction forces between crystalline particles, and how this influences the mechanical properties of loadbearing materials.

Applicants must hold a PhD in Physics, Material science, Chemistry, or a related field, and have extensive experience in force spectroscopy both in air and liquids. Knowledge about crystallization/crystallography is desired but not a must.
The initial appointment is for one year, and comprises a competitive salary (based on previous work experience) and a multidisciplinary work environment.

Interested candidates should send a CV, a brief description of research interests, and names of two referees to A.E.S. Van Driessche (alexander.van-driessche@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr) and A. Fernandez-Martinez (alex.fernandez- martinez@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr) no later than February 28, 2017. Applications received after this date may be considered if the position is not filled.
