Dr. Christoph Kirchlechner has been awarded the DFG’s Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize, the most important award for early career researchers in Germany.
Congratulations to him (herzlichsten Glückwünsche).

By popular demand, and to cope with a developing tradition in our communities*, the deadline for abstract submission to the
GDRi MECANO General Meeting 2017, to take place in Toulouse May 10-12 2017
is pushed to March 24th. And will not be pushed further.
The program of the workshop will be posted online on March 29th, 2017
Thank you to all of you who already provided a contribution.
*Is it bad, is it good? We may discuss this around a glass of Tariquet, in Toulouse.

Starting this March 2017, Jean-Baptiste MOLIN (MPIE Düsseldorf - j.molin[at]mpie.de) will be one the webmasters of the GDRi Mecano Website.
Most of the announcements regarding the Mecano network (Jobs, Events, news... ) can be sent to both of us for posting on the website or dispatching on the mailing list.

Following the French and international networks, (2008-2015) the GDRi Mecano - Mechanics of Nano-Objects- has been officially approved by the CNRS for 4 more years.
